HALO ALTIMETER (ATTRIBUTED)

Wartime, US civilian manufactured flight altimeter that was utilized in early High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) jumps. The piece came from the estate of a Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Command and Control Central (CCC), Recon Team New Mexico, veteran John Holshouser. John was HALO Qualified at Camp Long Thanh (B-53 ) that included several practice jumps into War-Zone D, but did not perform a Combat Jump.
