SOG KNIFE MONKEY MOUNTAIN AWARD (APK-2025)

Wartime, Counter Insurgency Support Office (CISO) manufactured Iron Guard SOG knife that was presented at the end of a veteran’s tour at Monkey Mountain Forward Operational Base (MMFOB). The knife measures 10 3/4 inches overall with a 6 inch chromed blade that is engraved: TO: SSG HARVEY W. SAAL, MMFOB DEC 69 – AUG 70. The piece is mounted on a wooden plaque (can be easily removed), brass plate on the mount is missing and comes with a reprinted picture of the veteran receiving the award. The veteran Harve Saal is the author of the four part book series SOG: MAC V STUDIES AND OBSERVATIONS GROUP, BEHIND ENEMY LINES.
