STRATEGIC TECHNICAL DIRECTORATE (STD) PLAQUE SOG’s VN COUNTERPART

Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG) Vietnamese Counterpart the Strategic Technical Directorate (STD) presentation plaque that measures 10 X 12 inches. The award has a veneer base with a multi layered center piece and a chromed presentation plate that reads: PRESENTED BY THE STRATEGIC TECHNICAL DIRECTORATE JOINT GENERAL STAFF / RVNAF. The piece was presented to Conrad “Ben” Baker who served as the Deputy Director of the US Army, Counter Insurgency Support Office (CISO) on Okinawa and visited Vietnam on a regular bases. The plaque comes with a reprinted photograph of the veteran during the War and one picture of the veteran holding the piece when I purchased it.
