Brendan Lyons’ US issued 3rd Model, poplin, uniform top. The piece is badged on the left sleeve with a US manufactured Special Forces Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI), the left chest has a machine embroidered US ARMY tape, US Basic Airborne Wings (Vietnamese made) and a Combat Infantryman’s Badge (CIB). The right chest has a Vietnamese made name tape that reads LYONS. Note there are a couple small tears where rank insignia was removed. The top is pre DSA dated, the size label removed and measures out with a 44 inch chest.

In 1969, Brendan Lyons served in Vietnam with 5th Special Forces Group (ABN), II Corp Mike Force and participated in the battle of Nui Coto. He later transferred to Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG), Command and Control South (CCS), Recon Company, assigned to Recon Team Plane. In 1970, Ben was reassigned to Command and Central (CCC), Recon Company and reformed Recon Team Maryland.
