Thomas Kyle’s US issued OG-107 uniform top. The piece has a US Special Forces Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) applied to the left sleeve, the left chest has a blocked letter US Army Tape, US Basic Airborne Wings, and a Combat Infantryman’s Badge (CIB). The right chest has a Vietnamese hand embroidered name tape. The top’s sleeves were tailored (cut and sewn), the labels have been washed out and measures out with a 40 inch chest.

Thomas W. Kyle served multiple tours in South East Asia. His first tour was in 1963 with 7th Special Forces Group (7th SFG (ABN)) assigned to Project White Star in Laos. Tom’s second tour was in 1967 with 5th SFG (ABN) assigned to B-34, Song Be, Republic of Vietnam where he was Wounded In Action (WIA) and medevaced to CONUS. Kyle return in 1970 with Military Assistance  Command Vietnam Studies and Observation Group (MAC V SOG) assigned to Camp Long Thanh (B-53) as an Instructor and later transferred to MAC V SOG OPS-34 (Earth Angel Program).
