SOG KNIFE, 2ND MODEL FAT GUARD PRESENTATION (APK-2004)

Wartime, Counter Insurgency Support Office (CISO) manufactured, 2nd Model Fat Guard SOG Knife. The knife measures about 11 inches overall with a 6 inch blued blade that is engraved: PRESENTED TO: SFC WAINWRIGHT F COX, his serial number, and the reverse reads: CCS 5TH SFG (ABN) 1ST SF. The piece has a brass cross guard and pommel cap with a stacked leather handle. The knife comes with a period black leather scabbard with a proper period stone. This exact knife is featured in the book: US ARMY SPECIAL FORCES FIGHTING KNIVES OF THE VIETNAM WAR, Volume I, THE SOG KNIFE, page 268.
