Wartime, Counter Insurgency Support Office (CISO) procured, Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MAC V SOG) issued, Iron Guard SOG knife. The knife measures about 10 3/4 inches over all, iron fittings with period electrical tape wrapped over the pommel cap, a 6 inch dark blued blade that showed some sharpening. The piece has a nice User look to it with a matched scabbard that both show honest wear.

The piece is attributed to a veteran who was not Special Forces qualified but attached to SF because of a unusual Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) during The War.
