US issued, 1962 dated, Class A uniform set. The uniform top is labeled Regular 39 in the neck, badged on the right sleeve with a cut edge, Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MAC V) shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI), the left sleeve has an early, cut edge, teal Special Forces SSI. The shoulder epaulets are adorned with red Naugahyde backed Special Forces harps, left chest has Vietnamese Airborne Wings and a Presidential unit citation, and the right chest has US Airborne Wings and a US made Combat Infantryman’s Badge. There are two ribbon bars that were in the pocket.
The set is complete with matching pants that are labeled: Regular W-32, L-34
The veteran served two tours in Vietnam. His first was in 1962 with MAC V, assignment unknown. His second tour was in 1964 as part of a 7th Special Forces Group (7th SFG (ABN)) Temporary Duty (TDY) Team assigned to A-254, Piei Do Lim in the Pleiku Province.
The piece comes with his original dog tags, a period bracelet, and a newspaper obituary.
