The piece measures about 3 3/4 inches tall and has not been applied. This exact patch is featured in the book: US ARMY SPECIAL FORCES INSIGNIA OF THE VIETNAM WAR, THE MAC V SOG RECON TEAMS, page 76 bottom picture.
